Firefox Tweaked browser allows for anonymous Surfing

A new Firefoxed tweak browser referred to as the Torpark browser has been endorsed by the Electronic Frontier Foundation and written about by PC World. The Torpark browser randomly assigns different IP addresses to an internet session as a user surfs. The browser works by sending encrypted data over the TOR (The Onion Router - a network of servers that randomly receive transfered data ).

Many website request and analytic scripts running in the background of a website capture information about where a visitor is coming from and where they are going tracking the identity of the surfer by their IP address which effectively names their connection or computer. TOR muddles this up and through the Torpark browser anyone can use its anonymous services even running the browser from a USB key.

A download of the browser is available at torpark.nfshost.com .

Technical Rights Management Option

Pinion offers some interesting solutions in the Technical Rights Management area.

Any successful engineering or design company knows that it must provide the technical means for its team to share information and files. “Its on the server”, “Go to the Shared Drive”, “Here’s a link to the document” all these common phrases are often passed around and they are the key words that trigger a team to act and share and collect and modify knowledge.

The issue is that often times these access points even email attachments and file transfer create many copies of documents across many systems even personal and home computers. Companies need to consider programs to enable Technical Rights Management. These programs need to ensure the safety and File Securityof the knowledge without stemming the flow of creativity of the creative team.

I couldn’t resist offering up this image from the AP via Yahoo News Photos. So would you get a cell phone for your Walrus?

If you did, would a flip phone be redundant? :) Walrus holding a mock up of a cell phone a candy bar styled cell phone at that.

Contract Management from Cradle to Grave

Fine Tooth offers a very interesting knowledge management service focussed on products like Contract Management Software. They specialize in converting paper contracts stored away in files, cabinets even vaults and converting them into digital knowledge content that is searchable and can be categorized.

Once digitized contracts are visible, they are managed as the contracts go through their normal lifecycle of negotiation and creation, activation or execution, renewal, modification and termination.

They can also help their customers focus on the inner phases and milestones of an agreement to insure that compliance issues do not become an issue.

Speaking from experience the benefit of digitizing contracts, making them searchable and making them available online or in a database format is invaluable. It is the best way to get a contract management or compliance project fast tracked to succeed. It is extremely burdensome to scan many agreements and digitize the words on those agreements let alone do something useful with the management of the phrases. This is just a part of the genious of Fine Tooth’s services in Contract Management.
