Firefox Browser Margin Increasing

Firefox inched up in August increasing its market share from 11.3 to 11.8 percent. The .5 percent increase for Firefox contrasted to a .5 percent decrease for Internet Explorer from 83.5% to 83%.

Safari and Opera also saw gains of .03 percent and .05 percent respectively.

For the same month of August 50.89% of Maven Mapper’s visitors visited with Firefox compared to 42.56% visiting with Explorer. (Mozilla 2.23%; Safari 1.79%; Opera 1.49%; netscape .74%)

Firefox like Opera and the new netscape offers tabbed browsing. It also has a fast growing group of plugins that allows users to customize their browsing experience and interact with various different web based accounts from the same screen.

Google has formed a relationship with the Firefox movement and has heavily sponsored downloads as well.
