Apparently LG didn’t get the memo about the World’s slimmest phone competition this year. Motorola came out with the Razor and then the Slivr. Nokia came out with the 7380 (you know for runway models!).

And now Samsung has come out with 2 phones to be entered into the much ballyhoooed World’s Slimmest Phone Competition.

Samsung Claims World’s Slimmest Cell Phone “The phone packs a 2-megapixel camera, a camcorder, an MP3 player, Bluetooth connectivity, TV-Out and other high-end functions. Samsung said it will ship the phone in Europe later this month and in China next month. ”

But nothing out from LG yet. Will they be late? Are they going to compete in a different competition?

Maybe its the worlds smallest blue tooth ear bud, or the worlds smallest screen, or the worlds shiniest phone, or the worlds first wide angle telephoto 20 x optical zoom camcorder phone with a built in tripod and 4GB of flash memory? Doubt it, they’ll probably submit a late entry too, look for it at your local Verizon Store at Christmas. No one wants to miss this competition.

So Nintendo comes up with a hot idea, a motion sensing controller. The new controller gets lots of attention and great reviews. So what is a company that leads the market share for gaming devices to do?

“Sony has copied Nintendo’s controller, tweaked it and called it its own, just like many feared it would. The gyroscopes inside the controller detect all sorts of movement, similar to the freehand Wii-mote, sending back the results to the PS3 base via a Bluetooth wireless connection for instant changes to the action on-screen.”
